Fusion Innovations receive the University of Birmingham Innovation grant for its ECORR product.
The aim is to start some serious investigation into the products viability.

Fabulous news Fusion Innovations Ltd has been successful in obtaining a feasibility grant by the Technology Strategy Board – Disruptive Technologies in Low Carbon vehicles, for our ECORR product.
This will provide a huge financial boost into proving that ECORR will work, and change the face of the industry as we think

The IDP6 project commences Fusion Innovations Ltd lead this 12 month project working alongside Dr Remi Olatunbosun head of vehicle dynamics and his team at the University of Birmingham.
This feasibility study will provide the theory to take this hugely innovative product onto the next level

Fusion Innovations Ltd sponsor a PHD student to research the PULSAR product.
Mebrahtu Embaye and backed by Dr Raya-Al-Dadah, PhD, BSc, HND, FInstR, MIMechE, Ceng, School of Mechanical Engineering at UoB, is using the PULSAR product as the mainstay of his thesis, due to be concluded in 2015

The IDP6 project reaches a successful conclusion with the independent assessor Dr Roger Williams (Ex-Technical Director of Dunlop) “hugely excited” about ECORR and what it can do.
The TSB rated it a great success and a big thank you to Viv Stephens at TSB for all his hard work and help along the way.

Fusion Innovations is successful in winning a University of Birmingham Grant for the PULSAR product.
This will help back up the work being done on the thesis and allow some more valuable research to take place.

Fusion Innovations has just received news that we have won the SMART proof of concept grant for its TOGEN product.
Fusion Innovations will lead the project, and work with the University of Birmingham on this 12 month project.
All extremely happy – great start to the New Year – well done!

Dr Ali Kubba joins Fusion Innovations Ltd.
Ali recently received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering and specializes in energy harvesting and will be a huge asset to the team.
Ali is going to continue to lecture at The University of Birmingham and in doing so progress our strong links with the University. Welcome on board!

JULY 2013
Pop those champagne corks the consortium headed up by Fusion Innovations Ltd has been awarded the IDP8 Disruptive technologies in low carbon vehicles grant, a 2 year project.
Fusion Innovations along with the University of Birmingham, Potenza Technology Ltd and Randle Engineering Ltd have successfully won the bid that has been 12 months in the making, beating off huge competition.

Sunish Varghese is the latest addition to the Fusion Innovations team joining us straight from University.
Sunish specializes in aerodynamics and computation with a strong background in design and analysis we are lucky to have him on board.
Sunish will work closely on the ground breaking ECORR project which starts this month – very exciting times…
The TOGEN project has made some unexpected developments and is currently in its third quarter, showing some very promising results

2 successful candidates from Warwick University Internship programme join us for 12 weeks.
Alex Pepper graduated with a first in MEng in 2013 brings an excellent all round knowledge and specialises in is proving to be an excellent asset to the ECORR team.
-Chris Baker graduated with a 2:1 in BEng in 2013, he too has an great range of knowledge and is working on the TOGEN POC project and the PULSAR project

April 2014
After a very positive internship we offered both candidates permanent roles within Fusion Innovations, Chris we are thrilled to say has agreed to join us as a Development Simulation Engineer, and will continue his excellent work on both the TOGEN and PULSAR products.
Alex has decided to broaden his horizons with travel and we wish him all the best.
Keen to strengthen our relationship with The University of Birmingham we have just agreed to sponsor a student by the name of Francisco Mata whilst he completes his degree. His thesis is based on the TOGEN project and having previously worked with him on an earlier project; know we are lucky to have him on board.
As part of a consortium Fusion Innovations has won an Electric and Intelligent Vehicles Project Grant for Cool Batt managed by Coventry University Enterprises Ltd. This 6 month contract will see us working on developing new low carbon tech battery systems

MAY 2014
See us broadening our team once again, and we are thrilled to announce that Anish Mathew has agreed to join us. Anish has vast strengths and experience in CFD Analysis and will prove a great benefit within the ECORR team.
May sees the end of the TSB POC project for TOGEN. We are very proud with the outcome of the product and are currently looking to take this to prototype stage, with initial prototypes looking both exciting and exceeding our expectations – watch this space!


Ammar Kubba is working with Fusion Innovations on an Accelerating Business-Knowledge Base Innovation Activity (ABIA) grant as part of his PhD program. Ammar will be working on advanced valve development technologies into low power high volume valve design.


The highly productive ECORR team has a much needed new member in the form of Thomson Tom. Thomson joins us with extensive mechanical engineering knowledge, specialising in propulsion, aerodynamics and structural mechanics. Welcome Thomson, we know you are going to be very busy!


The Innovate UK (TSB) project is keeping the team focused, hectic and the results are very interesting – in a good way! Thanks to the team and all our partners for their hard work and dedication to this challenging but hugely rewarding project.

We are looking to expand the business in new directions whilst keeping up with our ethos that the products we create having an environmental focus at its core – more to come on this in 2015!!

Warwick University Internship Programme has once again assisted us finding new members of the Fusion team. Myriam Gauthier is joining us for a 2 months internship with a BSc in medical microbiology and virology from Warwick University. Myriam is to start the first steps to commercialise the biotech side of the company – see our products HETREgen , BIOFUSION and GLOCARBON. We are looking to solidify and validate our initial findings and look to sources of grants to prove these out. We look forward to your results!

This ties in brilliantly with the BioHub Birmingham opening its doors shortly next to the offices. http://www.thebiohub.co.uk

Thanks to Myriam for all her work, she has decided that laboratory work is the way forward for her career but she has provided great insight to the company for the internship period she was here. Thanks for all you hard work and Good Luck in the future…

APRIL 2015

Fantastic news the ECORR project begins prototyping the system to put on the new Jaguar Land Rover Defender demonstrator. This exciting step sees the project move forward to on vehicle testing.


MAY 2015

Sees the end of the Abia project – A successful 8 months and a great contribution towards Fusion. Ammar was able to develop a significant step change in valve development that more than meets the low power high flow rate requirements of the company’s projects.


JUNE 2015

We are pleased to announce that the eminent Dr Hasson has agreed to join the biotech arm of Fusion Innovations in the summer. To say he has a wealth of experience in this field is an understatement. He is renowned for challenging boundaries and finding a new way – we are all extremely enthusiastic to welcome him and his family to the UK to help us both commercialise and develop this aspect of our business.

This exciting development brings Fusion closer to its holistic philosophy into low carbon innovations and completely sustainable energy eco-system development.
